Last week, directors, John Baker and John Kavanagh as well as associates, Mark Khoury and Tanya Awadallah attended the annual A4LE (Associations for Learning Environments) Conference, held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre.
John Baker also had the privilege of being appointed as Juror for 2016 New Major Facilities Category. There were many exceptional entries showcasing innovative, functional spaces empowering new pedagogy.
The conference was packed with insightful talks, tours and networking opportunities. The highlight of the conference was the Masquerade party, celebrating the achievement and advancement of learning environments.
This year, BKA submitted the recently completed Emanuel School LINC Building for an award, which highlights BKAs high standard in Educational architecture. The project showcased a state of the art 220 seating performing arts theatre as well as new art studios, gym and flexible, collaborative learning space.
