City of Sydney Council has approved the adaptive reuse of 763 George Street and the construction of a new hotel building above the existing ground and first floors of 757-763 George Street, Haymarket.
The 174 guest- suite hotel operation will target both the corporate and leisure sectors of the market including both domestic and foreign inbound tourists.
The design has been informed by heritage and urban design principles to arrive at a proposal that respects the surrounding context and provides a viable development form.
Precast concrete modules and panels of varying depths are used to articulate the facade, creating intrigue through the play of light and shadow.
