BKA Architecture is happy to announce the appointment of three new Associates – Kristy Simpson (Newcastle), Radhika Toshniwal and James Kim (Sydney) and one new Associate Director, Bruna Souto. BKA recognises the contributions of key team members who will help strengthen BKA’s commitment to good architecture, sustainable design and gender equality.
Associate Director – Bruna Souto
Bruna joined the BKA team in 2008 bringing with her wide experience in residential design across Brazil, Europe and Australia. She has a strong artistic flair and an adept user of 3D architectural tools that help the communication of design concepts and space to clients. She is currently working on a number of heritage infill projects in Sydney’s inner west as well as the upgrade refurbishment of the Chancellery at the University of NSW.
Associate – Kristy Simpson
Kristy joined BKA with 15 years experience and an impressive portfolio of projects across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Her all-round experience from multi-residential projects, affordable housing, education and civic building projects makes Kristy a valuable asset to the BKA team.
Associate – Radhika Toshniwal
Radhika brings international experience to BKA following her overseas work in India, Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom. She has a keen interest in environmental design and is a Green Star accredited professional encouraging all projects at BKA to undertake sustainable design approach. Her analytical skills are also a great asset to the BKA team – making her the QA officer of the studio. Currently she is involved with the Taronga Zoo, Science Immersive Learning Centre project due to complete construction in December 2017.
Associate – James Kim
James joined BKA with diverse experience ranging from residential, commercial and university buildings. His strength is in construction project management, where he has the ability to design and construct with an eye for detail. He is currently leading a BKA team in the design and construct of the Science Immersive Learning Centre at Taronga Zoo.
