Designed as part of a city-wide revitalisation program in the wake of the 2011 Christchurch earthquake, The Press is a mixed-use adaptive reuse of 4 existing buildings subject to heritage controls. The revitalised commercial premises are the new headquarters of ‘The Press’ newspaper and bring together a ground floor heritage theatre and 7 newly-constructed upper levels of commercial offices.
