UWS Hawkesbury NSW
BKA was commissioned by WSU to upgrade the existing Graham Swain Library at the Hawkesbury campus.
The existing 1980sq.m library had become dated and was not enabling new learning and teaching modes that have become commonplace amongst current tertiary libraries.
The re-design of the internal areas rationalise functional requirements to enhance the operation of the library by including additional group study rooms, group study pods and break out areas for group discussion as well as reconfiguration and upgrading of the existing stacks.
The refurbished library has a stronger presence with the newly defined awning to the main entrance facing the Oval, which create connectivity between the main buildings across the oval and the building cluster to the south-east of the library.
