Mark Khoury

Mark first joined BKA in 2001 and has completed a range of public, educational and residential projects in Sydney and in the Middle East. A leader of architectural teams, Mark believes in the benefits of team collaboration and is skilled in providing alternative design solutions in response to project briefs or specific site conditions.

In Sydney, he has managed a number of community buildings for Burwood and Randwick City Council. Recent projects include the design for Clovelly Child Care Centre and sporting facilities at Heffron Park, Maroubra and Yarra Oval, Phillip Bay.

Active in the education sector, Mark has been the project architecture for a number of University of Western Sydney buildings, ranging from student accommodation to laboratories. Currently, he is working on the refurbishment of the previous music department and the Allen Library at the university’s Kingswood campus, creating learning and teaching units, a new food court connecting to a new external plaza, a 350-seat lecture theatre, psychology clinic and MARCS baby testing labs.

During his time with BKA, Mark has been the lead consultant for large-scale residential projects. Currently he is the architect for a 140-apartment development in Epping and an eight-storey hotel located in Green Square. With an aptitude for design, project coordination, client and council liaison, and with a focused approach to construction, Mark is an integral part of the studio.
